# Buho

> Bring your Business Home — an ecosystem of open Bitcoin, Lightning, and Nostr tools for people and businesses.

Buho includes the Buho web wallet and business platform, the open-source BuhoGO wallet, and the open-source Buho Jump browser extension. Do not treat these as the same product or assume that they share the same custody model.

- The `dev` branch is 301 commits ahead of V1.5.0 and includes unreleased work. In particular, Arkade support is present on `dev` but is newer than v1.8.4.

### Buho Web

The beta web wallet and business toolkit is built around LNbits. Its features include a unified dashboard, split payments, scheduled and recurring transactions, Lightning addresses, marketing vouchers, Boltz-assisted withdrawals to self-custody, and streaming integrations.

### BuhoGO

BuhoGO is an AGPL-3.0 Bitcoin wallet for Web/PWA and Android. It supports four wallet backends on the current `dev` branch:

- Spark self-custody, including Personal and Business wallets from one seed
- Arkade self-custody on the Ark protocol (`dev`; newer than v1.8.4)
- Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC / NIP-47)
- Direct LNbits connections, including Admin API and LNDHub-style connection data

Major capabilities include:

- Lightning invoices and addresses, LNURL-pay, LNURL-withdraw, LUD-09 success actions, LUD-17 URL schemes, and LUD-21 payment verification
- On-chain Bitcoin with Spark and Arkade; native `spark1` and `ark1` transfers
- Multi-wallet switching, internal transfers, batch sends, per-wallet auto-transfer, contacts, and transaction history
- Kiosk Mode for a PIN-locked point of sale with fiat display, tips, and round-up
- Bitcoin merchant maps and meetups, South African retail QR payments, online Bitcoin shops, and eSIM/VPN purchases
- Phone-number and Lightning Address payouts for supported services in Kenya, Zambia, and Tanzania
- Native QR scanning, Android deep links, NFC tags, and Bolt Card withdrawal/PIN flows
- Nostr identity and profiles, NIP-05 handles, private NIP-51 contact sync, and LUD-04 Lightning login
- Native-only Learn & Earn lessons with real-sat rewards
- Branta destination verification, biometric unlock, screen protection, hidden balances, dark mode, and English/German/Spanish interfaces

Keys and wallet connection details are stored locally. BuhoGO does not require a Buho account or KYC. Optional features such as encrypted Google Drive backup, public Nostr profiles, map providers, swaps, shops, and connected wallet services communicate with their respective providers.

### Buho Jump

Buho Jump is an AGPL-3.0 browser extension for Lightning payments and Nostr identity. It supports NWC, direct LNbits connections, a built-in Cashu wallet, per-site budgets, Nostr logins, multiple identities, encrypted messaging, and 15 interface languages.
